I provide several services within my practice related to the issue of divorce. 

CHILDREN/TEENS

Counseling can serve as an excellent resource for children/teens in this situation. They frequently feel that they can not discuss these issues with their parents for different reasons.  They may be fearful of their uncertain future, not want to increase the level of stress for their parents, or they may not want to appear to be showing favortism.

For children and teens I provide individual and/or family counseling.  The counseling is centered around any specific struggles your child/teen may be having with their parents divorce, providing them with a safe environemnt to express their thoughts, feelings and fears without judgement.  Many times children/teens have questions about the general process of divorce and these issues may be addressed in counseling as well.

FOR PARENTS

Divorce is generally stress and anxiety provoking for both involved parties.  These effects tend to be magnified for individuals with children.  Parents often have many questions about how to address their decision to divorce with their children. 

I provide a service called: "HOW TO TELL THE KIDS".  This service consists of a 30 minute consultation to assist parents with this dilema. Service includes a list of resources you can use with your child/teen, answers to your questions/concerns, and a general idea of what to expect and how to identify warning signs that your child may be struggling with your divorce.

I can provide you with the skills you need to set the stage for a smoother and more positive process and transition for your child/teen.
